Construction of new production facility plus re-development of existing fire damaged factory at C&D Foods, Edgeworthstown.
Site Clearance consisting of removal of existing reinforced concrete floors pad & striped reinforced existing foundations & contaminated sub-soil.
New pad foundation plus strip foundations. Erection of structural steel frame. Infill perimeter cast insitu concrete walls. Internal stainless steel & ABS effluent drainage c/w stainless steel floor channels & gullies. All exposed steel work 60/60 fire protection with intumescent paint.

Summary of the works include: 9,000m2 Fit out including internal partitions, internal floors, walls and ceiling finishes, internal completions, fixtures and fittings supply and installation of laboratory furniture and services to the lab. Co-Ordination of Mechanical and Electrical contractors.
Testing, commissioning and validation of equipment, furniture and services. Co-ordination and management of the installation of furniture/signage/AV equipment.
Working in a live building which required co-ordination and sharing of site with other contractors and the client.
GEM Project Team managed the movement of people, movement of plant & materials. GEM prepared and implemented a logostical plan to provide secure and safe access to the work areas while maintaining normal access to the 'live' production facility for C&D employees and delivery Vehicles.
