Construction of 69 number of single and two storey residential units on part public open space and part site of demolished tower blocks. The site was constucted in two phases together with Whiteacre Public Park. This project required the construction of 69 no. of residential units on an infill brownfield site as part of the Ballymun Regeneration scheme. The project included traditional construction methods combined with warm roof technology with a traditional visual aspect externally.
Logistic’s proved a major part of the construction phase to ensure safe access for all existing residents and adequate access for construction traffic. GEM had to liaise with the Client Liaison personnell and plan works to suit local residents needs. Whiteacre park required construction of curved reinforced fairfaced concrete screen walls to shelter the amphitheatre of paving rergola walkway all of which surrounded the purpose built play area with play equipment and soft paving.
