The project involved the construction of the new Garda Divisional Headquarters adjacent to the existing Kevin Street Garda station, which is a Protected Structure (formerly called St. Sepulchre’s Palace).

The first phase consisted of groundworks and the second phase consisted of the construction of a new 6,840m² Garda Divisional Headquarters building with a 5,400m² double basement.

The development consisted of a 2-3 storey building with flat roofs along the west boundary; a 5 storey building with flat roof and curved street elevation along the east boundary and a connecting glazed atrium with a mono-pitch glass roof.

The accommodation includes offices, conference facilities, vehicular testing, garage/workshops, stores, public reception, prisoner processing areas, plant, ESB sub-station, landscaped roof terrace and associated ancillary spaces.
